MRTA Law, P.C.
Following the passage of the NYS Marijuana Regulation & Taxation Act (MRTA) on March 31, 2021, MRTA Law, P.C. was established to meet the overwhelming demand for legal counseling, anticipated need for Adult-Use Cannabis License Application services, and review of upcoming NYS Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) regulations, policies and rules. As OCM has the sole authority to review applications for Adult-Use Cannabis licenses, across 9 Adult-Use Cannabis license types, 3 Conditional Adult-Use licenses (Cultivator, Processor and Retail Dispensary), and 5 “Special Use” Adult-Use Cannabis-related permit types, expert understanding of the statutory and regulatory framework for obtaining a NYS Adult-Use Cannabis license is critical.
